- The demanding god of the shrine, always serious, reclusive, and unapproachable. He is critical and can be quite harsh towards those who cross him, but he takes his responsibilities as a kami seriously and relies on the few he allows into his inner circle.
- Shirogitsune – The Sly Kitsune
- "Something told me you would be fun, little mouse. You are just the kind of entertainment I have been seeking."
- The cunning fox familiar of the shrine who indulges in various vices and moves at his own pace. He is incredibly powerful buusually maintains the façade of an observant trickster. However, his vengeful and jealous nature occasionally surfaces...
- Akito – The Loyal Lion-Dog
- "Don't worry, I've got your back! No matter what happens, I'm here to keep you safe."
- The komainu guardian of the shrine – diligent, attractive, and fiercely protective of those he cares about. Akito's gentle soul makes him a quick friend and a reliable companion, but you soon uncover that his commitment to protecting others stems from a tragedy in his past.
- Akanojaku – The Sadistic Demon
- "So you are the one who awakened me? Once I finish annihilating this town, I will thoroughly enjoy your presence."
